Mention of The Committee and Snowstorm.

He watched Hutch crash into the booth full of cops. Knew it hurt. Knew it was the only way. To catch a bad cop he had to be a bad cop. He hated bad cops. Killed his father, fucked up his brother, broke his mother’s heart. Watched it break Hutch the last time. Clean shoot. Oxymoron. Hutch sent Burke to hell and followed him down. But that was before. Before the night they figured out what really mattered. When their hearts had folded into each other, me and thee etched into their bones.

He hoped they’d survive the make-up sex.
