House breaks my heart - and not in the good way . . .

You know, I used to LOVE House. I mean in that fangirl, write big huge fics, watch an ep over and over and over LOVE. I've been holding out all this year, hoping it was just a fluke, just a flutter, just a little bump in the road. But I watched last week's ep last night (cuz that's how far I've slipped - don't even watch it on Mondays . . .) and it made me SAD. Seriously, how can writers and producers get it so WRONG??? Do they watch the show??? Where is the humanity?? Where is the snark?? Where is WILSON??
I mean, I am like the mother whose son got into Harvard, but instead decided to go work at Wal Mart (which is disturbing on MANY LEVELS - since WalMart is the DEVIL)

Wow, I am whining. But hell, leave my damn House alone, will ya???  And this part? This part really steams my beans:

Why the holy hell do you finally find a cure for his pain that doesn't involve addiction - methadone - and then have him not stay on it - I mean, hell, methadone is used ALL OVER THE PLACE for pain - with barely any of those nasty side effects they heaped upon House - and it WORKS. So basically, instead of an interesting character who has to find a way to live despite the wracking pain because he can never get rid of it - you get rid of it and then he CHOOSES not to take the cure - so you are left with a character who is what?? Just an ass and loves pain?? Which is contrary to EVERYTHING that has been set up so nicely for the LAST FOUR YEARS!!! ahgggggghhhghghghghghghhgh. WTF? Katie whats your name - take off your silly hat and get a clue!  SERIOUSLY. Okay, I'm done.

In other news, my swimming pool has a sign on the door in french and then underneath the translation says:

SWIMMING LESSONS WILL BE POST-BONED.

I think I'm in the wrong swimming class . . .

*pet pet* G'wan and write some more older boys schmoop. It's like cuddling by a warm fire on a cold Monday afternoon. Good for what ails ya. :D

I don't know House but I feel your pain. And I am tickled by post boning swimming. Heh.

yes it's hard when shows go wrong - I can imagine the horror in the middle of SH season 4. Loved the sign, tried to steal it!

This from a girl who wrote Housefic so beautifully that I watched a few eps JUST so I could lap it up like a kitten taking to cream, which I did. The turn of events you describe is awfully sad. Maybe it'll turn out to have been a bad dream.

I know! And I loved you for it. Hopefully it will get better. In the meantime - Bring on Bobby and the Winchesters!

Well, no time like a ten-day hiatus to get their attention channeled into your hard drive! ;-)

Yep, this was definitely jaw-dropping, eye-popping "WTF?". And, outcome aside, it's a one-show topic? No story arc over at least several eps? If this show jumps the shark, I will screeeaaammm....

I know! I am so hoping for a rebound - cuz I haven't been able to write these particular boys in a while - and I loved writing them . . . sigh, I guess we'll see.
