A Drabble Meme . . . cuz I need a project!
and the girl has flown to Toronto for the day and left me to my own devices . . . which is NEVER a good thing!
this comes from the lovely
The first five people who comment in this post get to request a drabble length fic (i.e., about 100 words) of any pairing/character of their choosing from me. In return, they have to post this in their journal.
I'll do anyone - SH, DS/PMG, House, NCIS, SPN, ST Next Gen, Partridge Family, MASH . . . I'd even try Pros - although I still can't tell them apart half the time!

I'm just a huge Trapper fan, and a big Hawk/Trap fan. I HATED BJ when he first took over, then learned to tolerate and even like him, but he never replaced Trapper for me.

As for the first...yay! Someone else I can add to my (very slowly) growing list of people who see the same similarities between them that I do. (Including, as you mentioned, what I refer to as "The external expression of angst via the growing of inappropriate facial hair.") So, in that case, I'll ask you: does it make sense to you that--in my Giant Crossover UniverseTM--BJ is Hutch's maternal uncle? (Oh, and, regarding "looks": they do look somewhat alike, but what I see even more than that is that their expressions are very similar, the looks on their faces in different situations.)
*has a bit of an obsession about this...which should surprise no one, considering her obsessions for both M*A*S*H and S&H in general!*
*Also, still needs a "Giant Crossover Universe" icon*

But yes, I have ALWAYS from day one seen Mike Farrel as a must less better looking DS knockoff, cheesy moustache and all. He acted the same, went through the same progressions, etc. But like I said, I came to tolerate, and then actually like BJ, so... *G* And yeah, Hutch's uncle is cool. :D

but I do think Farell got all the good angsty stuff - and I liked the series better when it lost a little slapsticky ness
plus there's Potter and Charles . . . have you ever read Charles Klinger??? For some reason, I adore that pairing!!!

Does this mean you're not gonna beeyotchslap me? :D

And, yeah, I think DS was better looking than Mike Farrell for most of that time, though in the beginning, both of them just looked so young and innocent, I couldn't even really think of them that way. (Seriously, Hutch in some S1 episodes looks like someone needs to explain to him that "some people are bad" and BJ in his first few episodes looks like he just got out of prep school.) And I refuse to make any comments on their respective attraction with the mustaches, because that would require I think about them (the mustaches, not the actors or characters) as anything other than, as I said, external expressions of internal conflict.

You know I wrote a MASH script in HS and sent it in and then the next year, the kernel of my ep (about Hawkeye and Nurse Kelly) was in an ep!!!! Still think I was ROBBED!

And yeah, Hakeye and BJ could totally wreck each other, the same way Starsky and Hutch could. Because not only do they care so much about each other, but they are, to a large extent, each other's main source of support. So when there's something between them (especially something that needs to be kept quiet), neither of them have anyone to go to to help them deal with it.
*REALLY wants her M*A*S*H slash icons back*

Oh, btw you were the only requester at my meme, so your Huggy request is currently at 353 words and growing. It looks like it's gonna end up as more of a snippet than a drabble. Hope that's okay. *eg*
