and the girl has flown to Toronto for the day and left me to my own devices . . . which is NEVER a good thing!

this comes from the lovely [livejournal.com profile] thayln . . .

The first five people who comment in this post get to request a drabble length fic (i.e., about 100 words) of any pairing/character of their choosing from me. In return, they have to post this in their journal.

I'll do anyone - SH, DS/PMG, House, NCIS, SPN, ST Next Gen, Partridge Family, MASH . . . I'd even try Pros - although I still can't tell them apart half the time!

And then you have Trapper as the curly headed trixter...so you've got Hawk as a central figure best friending both Hutch-lite AND Starsky-lite! So in your "Giant!Crossover!Universe!" you should have both Trap and Beej dump Hawk and get together with each other! LOL!

But yes, I have ALWAYS from day one seen Mike Farrel as a must less better looking DS knockoff, cheesy moustache and all. He acted the same, went through the same progressions, etc. But like I said, I came to tolerate, and then actually like BJ, so... *G* And yeah, Hutch's uncle is cool. :D

okay interesting ideas here - and i always thought Hawkeye reminded me a little of House . . .

but I do think Farell got all the good angsty stuff - and I liked the series better when it lost a little slapsticky ness
plus there's Potter and Charles . . . have you ever read Charles Klinger??? For some reason, I adore that pairing!!!

Hell, I never even THOUGHT of that pairing! Even after DOS came out to the world! *G* I'll have to take a look at it!

Does this mean you're not gonna beeyotchslap me? :D

*snickers* Oh, I have read SO many stories where BJ and Trapper get together after the war *loses her train of though and starts singing "Rene and Georgette Magritte With Their Dog After the War"* Sorry. Um, I was saying...oh, yes: I've read tons of stories with them together after the war, but honestly, it doesn't work for me, mainly because I don't really see them as having ANYTHING in common other than their dedication to both their occupation and Hawkeye. Which, to be fair, once could say for S&H also, that they have nothing in common except their dedication to their jobs, except that we see how they got along: they were put into a situation in which they did, for whatever reason, get to know and like each other. Whereas I can't think of a reason to put BJ and Trapper together like that...not to mention that, assuming they both still care for Hawkeye in any way, I don't know that BJ could get over Trapper's "betrayal" (in the form of no contact after his discharge) of Hawkeye. (Plus, as a slasher, I freely admit that the biggest problem I have in my GCUTM is not falling into the "Everyone is gay!" trap. So I like that I have BJ as a straight--though later divorced--guy in it, and Hawkeye as ONLY his best friend.)

And, yeah, I think DS was better looking than Mike Farrell for most of that time, though in the beginning, both of them just looked so young and innocent, I couldn't even really think of them that way. (Seriously, Hutch in some S1 episodes looks like someone needs to explain to him that "some people are bad" and BJ in his first few episodes looks like he just got out of prep school.) And I refuse to make any comments on their respective attraction with the mustaches, because that would require I think about them (the mustaches, not the actors or characters) as anything other than, as I said, external expressions of internal conflict.
