My husband clues into the homoerotic subtext of the buddy relationships on TV and in movies, like a lot of us do, cuz he's smart or something. *G* He doesn't read or write fanfiction, but he knows about it and he tends to agree with the "slash" point of view to a certain extent.
I've been watching Starsky and Hutch since I was 16, which was when it was originally on the air (I'm 47) and I always thought it was sort of homoerotic in content, although I never got direct visual confirmation of that no matter how many times I watched, just hints and subtext. I remember people saying that it was a "gay cop show"and thinking, "So what? What difference does it make?"
