Read at your peril - it's getting scary . . .

So when we left our heroes, they were gears over ass over a rock, about to Thelma and Louise it off into the Eleven Mile Canyon.

"This may be it, partner." Starsky, never one for soapy scenes, starting untying his IChing coin from around his neck.
Hutch's answer was to knock him upside the head, ram the Torino into reverse and stomp on the gas via Starsky' s foot.
They both closed their eyes and, after a harrowing ride, emerged from the ledge virtually unscathed.

Hutch made Starsky swear on both his mother's AND his Aunt Rose's grave to NEVER do that again, and they continued their way down the canyon.

Starsky stopped to wash the canyon dust off the Torino:

And Hutch wandered in here:

Where Starsky got drunk and Hutch got drunk and they got in a fight - you know, the usual.

The next day, they headed back up into the mountains - toward Estes Park. And the Shining Hotel.

Starsky wouldn't drive the Torino within a "friggin mile of that place," so Hutch had to take the tour bus.

That afternoon, they drove up over the Continental Divide, where they were both mesmerized by the gorgeous mountains . . .

and the majestic beauty surrounding them. Hutch took a beautiful picture of the mountain wildflowers . . .

and Starsky took pictures of big moose fucking. (well, he said it "looked like they just got done fucking," and Hutch had to agree, since he had just been thinking that the big one looked just like Starsky . . .after . .. )

On the way back down the mountain, the unthinkable happened:

Hutch, mellowed by three days of high altitude and vacation sex, just found a nice rock and read a book. Starsky flagged down a trucker who towed the Torino to his Scooby-Doo abandoned mine and day spa:

where he tied up the boys, stole the Torino, and left them for dead. Hutch was not amused.

Oh no! Whatever will they do?  Is this the end for our dynamic duo? Will they spend their last days searching for food and water in a hostile wilderness? Will Hutch use his fur trapping books to learn a new trade? Will Starsky pick the little blue house?

Stay tuned for the thrilling conclusion in Torino Adventure 2007 Part 3  - Last Chance

Oh, no! Not the abandoned mine and day spa!

Starsky needs to go rescue his Torino - he can't just leave her in the hands of a madman!

I think there must be a clue in the little blue house. It just looks... clueish. ;-)

Having lived in Colorado for fourteen years, I, of course, knew of the evil Abandoned Mine and Day Spa. However, I was not asked to consult, so the boys are on their own.

thanks!

*gasps in terror*

"No, Starsky. Don't go in the blue one! There might be zombies in there...or smurfs...or, or, zombie smurfs!"

*tries to work with trembling fingers*

You know, someone really should write a Scooby Doo/Starsky and Hutch xover...if it hasn't already been done.

Every time Starsky tells Hutch the dog is talking and he gives the Hutchinson eye roll of disbelief (TM), Starsky reminds him that he didn't believe Hutch about seeing a Dalmation, either.

Loving this series, just what the doctor ordered to relieve stress and tension. Thank you!

I love it! Never thought I'd see the Torino, the lads and Scooby-Doo in the same breathing space and have it all seem perfectly logical..
